About Client:
The client is a technology company operating in the ad-tech domain, providing advanced advertising intelligence and competitor analysis solutions. The platform specializes in multi-platform ad monitoring and leverages AI-driven optimization to deliver actionable insights. Their solutions are widely used by marketers, agencies, and brands to track competitor strategies, analyze advertising trends, and improve campaign performance. Given the data-intensive nature of the platform, the Global Ad-Tech Intelligence Platform requires a scalable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure to efficiently process large volumes of advertising data and support real-time analytics
The Global Ad-Tech Intelligence Platform planned to migrate its existing infrastructure from Microsoft Azure to AWS while ensuring minimal disruption to business-critical workloads and maintaining application availability during the transition. One of the primary challenges involved migrating and validating large volumes of application data in a reliable and secure manner. Given the data intensive nature of the ad-tech platform, ensuring consistent data transfer performance, integrity validation, and seamless integration with AWS storage services such as Amazon S3 was critical.
Designing a secure, scalable, and highly available AWS networking architecture was another key challenge. The solution required implementing a multi-tier VPC architecture with proper segregation of public, application, and database layers across multiple Availability Zones while ensuring controlled internet connectivity for private workloads, secure outbound access through NAT Gateways, and strict isolation of backend database resources with no direct public exposure. Establishing centralized monitoring, logging, and audit capabilities across the AWS environment was also essential to maintain operational visibility and governance. The Global Ad-Tech Intelligence Platform required real-time monitoring, infrastructure auditing, log aggregation, and actionable alerting to support proactive troubleshooting, incident response, and long-term operational management.
To support the migration from Microsoft Azure to Amazon Web Services (AWS), a secure and scalable cloud foundation was established, tailored to the Global Ad-Tech Intelligence Platform’s data-intensive ad-tech platform. The solution followed a structured lift-and-shift approach, enabling seamless migration of application workloads and large datasets with minimal disruption. A three-tier VPC architecture was implemented across multiple Availability Zones to ensure high availability and secure workload isolation. Application servers were deployed in private subnets, while controlled internet access was managed through public subnets and NAT Gateways.
The architecture leveraged AWS-native services such as AWS Application Migration Service and AWS DataSync to migrate compute and data efficiently. Centralized monitoring, logging, and analytics capabilities were enabled using Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail, and Amazon OpenSearch Service, providing real-time visibility into system performance and operational insights. This ensured a stable, secure, and manageable AWS environment post-migration.

Comprinno designed a secure, highly available, and scalable multi–Availability Zone AWS architecture to support the Global Ad-Tech Intelligence Platform’s data-intensive ad-tech platform following its migration from Microsoft Azure. The environment is hosted within a dedicated Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and follows a three-tier network architecture comprising public subnets, private application subnets, and private database subnets to ensure workload isolation, controlled network access, scalability, and high availability across the platform. Incoming user traffic is securely routed through an Internet Gateway and Application Load Balancer to Amazon EC2 instances deployed within private application subnets, while NAT Gateway resources provide secure outbound internet connectivity for private workloads without exposing backend systems directly to the internet. Database resources are deployed exclusively within private database subnets to ensure enhanced security and eliminate direct public access.
The platform incorporates centralized monitoring, logging, security, and operational management capabilities using Amazon CloudWatch for infrastructure and application monitoring, AWS CloudTrail for auditing and activity tracking, AWS Systems Manager for operational management and administration, AWS Key Management Service (KMS) for encryption key management, AWS Certificate Manager for SSL/TLS certificate management, and AWS Security Hub for centralized security posture management. Scalable and durable object storage is provided through Amazon S3, while Amazon OpenSearch Service enables centralized log aggregation, analytics, and real-time operational insights. Overall, the architecture delivers a secure, resilient, and operationally efficient AWS environment capable of supporting high-volume data processing, application scalability, observability, and long-term business growth.
The successful migration of the Global Ad-Tech Intelligence Platform from Microsoft Azure to AWS established a secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environment designed to support the organization’s growing operational and data-processing requirements. By leveraging AWS-native services and implementing a resilient multi–Availability Zone architecture, the solution improved infrastructure reliability, strengthened security controls, and enhanced overall operational efficiency. The migration approach was carefully planned and executed using AWS Application Migration Service and AWS DataSync, enabling minimal downtime during cutover while ensuring data accuracy and business continuity through comprehensive validation and rollback preparedness. The implementation of centralized monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response mechanisms further improved operational visibility and accelerated issue detection and resolution. In addition, the adoption of secure network segmentation, private workload isolation, encryption controls, and centralized security management established a stronger security posture aligned with enterprise best practices.
Overall, the solution provides the Global Ad-Tech Intelligence Platform with a robust and future-ready AWS foundation capable of supporting scalable application growth, improved operational governance, enhanced observability, and long-term cloud modernization initiatives.
